Late game
From floor 400 to floor 999. Enemies pierce more of your defense, and each hit hurts more as you climb. Why late battles changed
Your goal here
Beat the boss on floor 999 and see the ending. The climb is long, so plan for retirement and decline ahead of time.
What opens
- Floor 400: late battle rules start. They apply to tower expeditions only.
- Floors 450, 700 and 850: the remaining steps of "Personal Trials". Clearing the floor 700 trial grants the Oath of Fellowship.
- When a named hero leaves: "Old Ties" and "Trial of Memory".
Where people get stuck
"Outpowered" stops you climbing. Open a mercenary under "Mercs" and go to the "Gear" tab. Check in order: weapons and armor at the current generation's tier, relics forged to the limit, mastery caught up.
The front row falls first. Enemies here pierce defense, so stacking defense alone stops working. Raise health too. If the back row falls first, read which row the enemy targets when scouting and change the rows. Awakening as abyssal also reduces damage taken, so weigh that too.
Long climbs wear the party down. At fatigue 70 or more, attack and action speed drop by 15%. Abyss perks raise your relief reserves to 3, and resting your core before a boss helps.
Members retire or lose stats. Read will and prime in the "Growth" tab before it happens. A member under the Oath of Fellowship won't retire on their own or lose stats to age. After someone retires, Rebirth can call them back.
