Clearing a chapter boss for the first time opens a gate camp where you keep an expedition photo, and members who fight side by side now build trust and memories. From floor 101, each zone carries a trait you switch off with your lineup and specialties, and new named heroes arrive through Bond Quests and the Shop.

Gate Camp and Expedition Photos
7 items
From floor 100, a chapter boss stands every 50 floors. The first time you beat one, a gate camp opens after the victory scene. It opens only on tower climbs, once per chapter
At the camp, pick one of four expedition photos of the members who fought that battle and tap Hang on the Wall. Shots of a pair of partners or of the member who felled the boss show up as candidates
The photo you pick hangs in a frame on the back wall of the lounge dining hall. Zoom in on the dining hall and tap the frame to browse past photos in the album
Read the Story opens that floor's story right at the camp. Skip closes the camp and hangs the first photo
If a pair of partners appears together in the photo you pick, trust grows between them
Members who retire or fall stay in the photos as they looked then
On floor 999, the camp opens after the ending story
Trust and Shared Memories
9 items
Trust builds between you and each member. It fills when they go on expeditions or take Rear Duty, and a bit more comes the first time each week you tap them in the lounge
Trust shows as shield slots in the lounge speech bubble. A member with all five slots filled keeps their will through an ordinary year
Two members who fight together keep memories of it. The game picks them out of battle, such as pulling each other through a crisis or crossing a gate side by side
Tap a member in the lounge and one of those memories shows at the top of their speech bubble. A line you saw recently stays away for a while
Two members who share enough battles and memories become partners. They get a face-to-face scene in the lounge once, and they sit together in the dining hall
Milestones such as battle counts and years with the guild also turn into lines for that member
When a member retires or falls, the farewell window and their Hall of Fame card carry A Keepsake. Higher trust holds more memories
Members who have been with you a long time start with trust that matches their battle record. Memories start from the first battle after the update
Trust and memories do not raise stats
Zone Traits and Specialties
9 items
From floor 101, the tower splits into zones of 10 floors, and each zone carries one trait. Veil makes enemies dodge more often, Split makes fallen enemies break in two, and each trait changes the fight its own way
Each trait has answer classes. A member of an answer class fills one slot, and two filled slots switch the trait off. With one slot filled, the trait works at half strength
An active trait also raises enemy attack and HP. Members who fill a slot get 10% more attack and max HP in that zone
Above floor 101, a zone card sits at the top of the scouting screen. It shows the trait, the slots and the next zone, and tapping a slot shows who fills it
At the Base training yard, regular members learn a specialty. A specialist fills both slots alone in zones with that trait. Specialties open once your best floor reaches 100
Learning a specialty costs 200 Abyss shards and switching costs 100. Each member holds one, and can switch once a week. Named heroes do not learn specialties
On party cards, specialists wear a blue frame and other answers show a slot mark. The bench list puts the answers for the next zone first
If you stay in one zone for 4 weeks and lose or retreat from it two or more times, the recruit board adds one Answer candidate for that trait and the training yard lists that specialty first
Above floor 101, zone traits replace the mutations that used to roll each floor. Pin a mutation and Mutation Reroll work as before on floors 51 to 100
Chapter Preview and the Fork
6 items
The departure card on the Tower tab shows the five zone traits of the current chapter as a row of icons. A gold frame marks the current zone, and tapping the row opens a chapter sheet with each zone's trait and slots
The bottom of the gate camp shows the five zones of the next chapter too
From floor 301, the road splits after the 25th floor of each chapter. The Rough Road has two traits in each remaining zone, and one slot per trait switches it off. The Wide Road keeps one trait
Beat a chapter boss for the first time on the Rough Road to hang two photos at the gate and earn an emblem shard. Three shards unlock the Rough Road emblem, and six unlock the Rough Road flag for your Base
The road you chose last time starts selected, so one tap moves on. Change roads from the chapter sheet on the Tower tab
Rough Road rewards come once per chapter and give no stats or resources
New Named Heroes
Tessa, Danmok and Sigri arrive through Bond Quests
Tessa Bramble (floor 101), Danmok Gyeol (floor 105) and Sigri Hailmoor (floor 115) arrive through Bond Quests
Rosel, Fine and Sargul wait in the Shop
Tessa is an Alchemist. Ember Flask hits her main target, sets embers on two other enemies and heals the most wounded ally
Danmok is a Swordmaster. Half Plum cuts three times, then strikes the weakest other enemy once more. Sent out with Baekri Hyang, the Twin Plum Blades let each of them fill a Regeneration slot
Sigri is a Mage. Captive Winter chills every enemy and sends the enemy front row's action gauge back to the start. Bosses keep their gauge
Rosel Ironbloom, Fine Kaltenbach and Sargul Krach join the Shop. They join at your guild's level as soon as you buy them
Rosel is a Dwarf Monk. Rose Gauntlets strike twice and heal her, and her royal gift gauntlets fill one Ironscale slot
Sargul is a Drakekin Berserker. Reverse Scale hits the enemy front row, and the first time his HP drops below half, his skill gauge fills after his next basic attack (once per battle)
Each new named hero has a story of their own, a Personal Trial and a breakthrough look
Fine and the Mechanic
Fine is a Mechanic, a class only she uses. She works devices from the back row, and Mechanics never appear on the recruit board
Launch Bolt fires at the target and sets up a bolt. For the next four basic attacks, the bolt adds a shot at the same enemy and lowers the evasion of the enemy it hits. Bolt shots ignore evasion
Mechanics answer the Veil trait
Analysis: from the third battle in the same zone on one expedition, Fine fills one slot of a trait that is short

Baekri Hyang, Yeoncheong, Brin, Rask, Durganthor, Mukran and Izel have new illustrations. Their faces sit in the center of small skill banners too

In a week with no expedition, Rear Duty gold is halved and capped at that week's wages. Weeks with an expedition pay as before
Tap a chip on the roster or recruit screens (grade, aging, will, promise and other tags) to see a one-line explanation in place
The will line on the member detail screen and the recruit sheet have a ? button with short guides to aging and retirement and to recruiting and lineups
The glossary adds Aging and retirement, Lifespan by race, Recruiting and lineup guide, and Corridor of Rebirth
Tapping a relic chip on the floor screen opens its effect, and the mastery ? button opens the glossary
